Safeguarding in Fragmented Families: A Study Day exploring issues around safeguarding children

The Parental Mental Health and Child Welfare Network voted improving safeguarding practice as its top priority.
This study day is designed to look at findings from studies of child death reviews and the persistent problems of interagency communication. It will focus specifically on mental health problems of parents exacerbated by separation through hospitalisation, imprisonment and migration and how services need to respond to these issues.

Who should attend?
Safeguarding leads in mental health trusts, PCTs and local authorities, Chairs of Safeguarding boards, safeguarding development officers, service users and carers, staff working in mental health and social care, commissioners of services, researchers and educators.
A publication will be produced from the day.

Unwaged service users/carers can attend free of charge, but pre-registration is essential and places are limited. Please complete the online booking form to reserve a place.
Delegate fees are £100. You can either:
