Barnardo's runs 14 services related to parental
mental health and child welfare and the support
of young carers and their families. Over half
of the parents being cared for by the young people
have mental health problems.
- Family Action - (Formerly Family Welfare Association) Family Action is the UK’s leading family charity, supporting over 45,000 families every year. They tackle some of the most complex and difficult issues facing families today – including domestic abuse, mental health problems, learning disabilities and severe financial hardship. The Family Action's focus is on working with families
in need and within Building Bridges projects,
it is looking at the interface between mental
health and children's services and providing
more holistic services for families.

not Bad - This is a website and forum for
mental health service users and their carers,
family and friends.
- Net Mums - unique local network for mums and dads offering a wealth of information and local and national level.

- Princess
Royal Trust for Carers - The Princess Royal
Trust for Carers is a network of carers centres,
including 71 young carers projects across the
UK supporting 9,500 young carers and their
families.
- The
Time out for Families Group - This website
offers a message board for parent-to-parent
support for families who have a child with
special mental health and behavioural needs.
- Horton
Women's Holiday Centre - provides holidays
for women and children on limited or moderate
means. It is run as a charitable co-operative.
